Juicing for Dummies – Leslie Justice

FEATURED RECIPES

All Out Orange 

INGREDIENTS:
3  large carrots
1/2  orange bell pepper
1  large naval orange
1  cup of blueberries
A small sliver of ginger 

DIRECTIONS:
Juice everything in the order given.

Basic Green

INGREDIENTS:
1 bunch of kale or 6 ounces of spinach
2 green apple
1 bunch of celery
2 cucumber
1/2 lemon
Chunk of ginger 

DIRECTIONS:
Juice everything.

This makes approximately 48 ounces.

BlackBerry Lemon Limeade 

INGREDIENTS:
1 pint of blackberries
1 lemon
1 lime 

DIRECTIONS:
Juice the blackberries and citrus. A little goes along way when you don’t peel citrus. Put aside enough lemon and lime for garnishing your glasses. The same goes for the blackberries. Save enough to put a few in each drink. Mix the juice in a pitcher with water. Toss in fresh mint and add some stevia or honey if it’s a bit to sour. 

Always drink your juice from a glass. That’s one of my cardinal rules! Garnish.. Garnish… Garnish… did I mention garnish?

Leslie’s Pepper Green 

INGREDIENTS:
2 cups spinach
2 cucumber
2 Granny Smiths
1 bunch of celery
1/2 lemon & a chunk of ginger 

Extra options included in this juice:
1  zucchini
1/2  pineapple
1  Green bell  pepper

DIRECTIONS:
Juice everything.

Yields approximately 1/2  a gallon. Store in sealed jars for up to 72 hours. 

For less juice cut the recipe amounts in half.
